➡️ SET UP A LANDING PAGE ⬅️

Why is this the first step when coming up with a brand new idea? Well, there’s a few reasons!

  1. It’s a constant reminder to yourself about this big idea - You can’t promote something and then forget about it! Especially when it’s on the top of your menubar

  2. It shows your audience that there’s something new brewing and it gives them a chance to prepare for it financially - Even if it’s not a big ticket item, I love to know when my favorite authors are putting out a new book so I can make sure that I finish up my current reads to make room for a new one!

  3. It can widen your audience once you add in a subscribe button - Don’t just put up a page and walk away! Allow your visitors to take action by either adding a form or subscription button to join a waitlist, or a click-to-tweet button for easy sharing on social media.

  4. It can make the world a better place, gain you some pre-PR, and have your idea shine with excitement before it even comes to life

No matter what idea you’re thinking about bringing to life - your landing page, splash page, or whatever you’d like to call it will help you immensely!

A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN SETTING UP A LANDING PAGE

  • You can use this landing page as an outline or a guide for content creation once you’ve drawn some traffic to the page and your audience likes what you’ve got to say.

  • You can use the analytics of this page to gauge people’s response to your big idea! Check to see how people are engaging with the content, how long they stay on the page, if they subscribe, if they share it out with their own audience, etc.

  • You can copy the url and promote it throughout social media as opposed to reciting the idea over and over again in different variations. One succinct awesome idea, one web page and one URL destination results with no confusion - for you AND your audience!
